The June 15, 2013 Don Diego Scholarship Foundation’s Steve Miller Band Dinner and Concert Gala at the San Diego County Fair brought together past, present and future in one festive evening that will benefit the future of education and our community.
Four exceptional San Diego County high school seniors will embark on college careers supported by sizable scholarships from the Don Diego Scholarship Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the San Diego County Fair. They will be recognized at the exclusive Don Diego Steve Miller Band Dinner and Concert Gala on June 15, 2013 at the Fair. Tickets are available at dondiegoscholarship.org.
The Don Diego Scholarship Foundation has created an endowment Spanjian Family Scholarship to create an enduring legacy honoring Robert Spanjian, a Don Diego founder who has served as Secretary-Treasurer since the Foundation’s establishment in 1986.
More than 170 people enjoyed a rockin’ and rollin’ evening at the June 28, 2012 Don Diego Scholarship Foundation’s Dinner and Concert Gala at the San Diego County Fair. The SoCal-perfect summer night made an ideal setting for this event whose proceeds support annual $5,000 scholarships to outstanding San Diego County high school seniors who have participated in the San Diego County Fair and/or other activities associated with the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Each year the Don Diego Scholarship Foundation awards four $5,000 college scholarships to deserving seniors in San Diego County. All winners must have participated in the Del Mar Fairgrounds in some way. After a competitive application and interview process, the Don Diego Board Members interviewed qualified candidates on May 10, 2012 and selected the following recipients
Charity Fair Horse Show Trustee Susan Farrior presented a $2,500 donation from the Show to Don Diego Fund Chair Paul Ecke III on September 20, 2011 in support of the Fund’s annual college scholarship program. Farrior also serves on the Fund’s Board.
The Don Diego Fund has awarded $5,000 college scholarships to four outstanding, college-bound, San Diego County high school seniors. The Fund annually provides scholarships to youth who have been associated with activities at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and who plan to pursue higher education.
The Don Diego Fund has awarded $23,000 in college scholarships to five outstanding, college-bound high school seniors. Each year, the Fund provides financial support to deserving San Diego County youth who have been associated with activities at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and plan to pursue higher education.
Charity Fair Horse Show President Susan Farrior recently presented a generous donation to The Don Diego Fund Chair Allan Royster in support of the Fund’s annual college scholarship program. Farrior also serves on the Fund’s Board.
