DON DIEGO FUND RECIPIENTS HONORED AT SAN DIEGO COUNTY FAIR’S JUNE 25TH JULIO IGLESIAS CONCERT
Del Mar, CA … Pictured here with Don Diego Fund Chairperson Allan Royster are four of the five stellar San Diego County graduating high school seniors receiving 2010 Fund scholarships totaling $23,000. They are: Kevin Brice, Carlsbad; Nichole Miller, El Cajon; Juliana Collins, Carlsbad; and Emily Cary, Alpine. Holly Rogers of Fallbrook was unable to attend.
The recipients were honored on stage before the June 25th Julio Iglesias concert at the San Diego County Fair, as part of The Don Diego Fund’s annual Dinner and Concert Gala. The Gala celebrates scholarship recipients and raises funds that enable outstanding high school seniors to pursue their college and career goals.
This year’s colorful, Spanish-themed Gala was attended by more than 150 people. To date, the Fund has awarded $536,000 in scholarships and grants, helping 126 students pursue higher education. The Fund welcomes sponsors at diverse monetary levels, providing recognitions and benefits at all levels. It offers special packages such as the $99 Amigo Club, which provides more than $500 worth of year-round Fairgrounds fun.
